What do you do when you’re not talking knives?
Taking photos, being a dad to four amazing kids, and enjoying life with my beautiful wife — that’s what I’m all about.
As a full-time photographer specializing in weddings, events, and business content, I’ve had the privilege of creating every single day for the past 13 years.
Which ANSØ knife do you own – and how did it find its way into your hands?
Through Panda.Pirates, I’ve had the honor of working with several incredible brands and companies, and one of them is Mukama. They offer a fantastic selection of gear that makes everyday life a little more enjoyable and a lot more inspiring.
One of the brands they sell is ANSØ of Denmark.
The Aros has been a grail knife for me for a long time. After watching the YouTube series about its development and craftsmanship, I knew that one day I wanted to try one—and hopefully own one.
When Mukama had a few in stock, I got the chance to experience the Aros firsthand. Not long after, I had the opportunity to add one to my collection.
Some pieces of gear simply live up to the hype.
What made you choose this knife in particular?
After being part of the EDC community for the past five years, I've learned which knives, tools, and brands truly resonate with me. I've also discovered what I actually need in my daily life.
While my carry tends to change with the seasons, one item is always in my pocket: a knife. And more often than not, that knife is the Aros.
For me, it's the perfect size. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and the story behind it makes it even more special. It's one of those rare pieces that I know will stay in the family for generations.
What has surprised you most about owning an ANSØ knife?
As a photographer, I love telling stories through images. I also appreciate the stories behind the items I carry. A great story adds meaning and value, and Jens Anso is a master at creating both.
Over the years, I've owned many GiantMouse knives and several Ansø-designed models made by Viper in Italy. But a knife built in Ansø's own workshop is simply on another level. Every detail has been carefully considered, and the quality is outstanding.
I believe the best items to carry are the ones that mean something to you. The tools that, every time you use them, remind you of a memory, a person, or a feeling. In a world that often feels busy and overwhelming, those small moments can make a real difference.
What else do you carry every day?
After owning and using countless EDC tools over the years—and living in a country where carrying a knife is still allowed—my everyday carry has evolved quite a bit.Â
These days, the items I consistently rely on are simple: a knife, small pocket tool, and a watch.
I also keep a pouch in my camera bag with a few extra essentials: a backup knife, tweezers, pen, notebook, and another compact pocket tool. Those are the items that help me stay prepared, whether I'm shooting a wedding, traveling, or simply going about my day.
Do you have an EDC tip or habit you think more people should know about?
Carry items that have meaning to you. The tools and objects you use every day can be more than just functional, they can tell a story.
Every time you pick them up, they can remind you of a person, a place, or a moment in your life. In the middle of a hectic day, that small reminder can bring a sense of gratitude, a good memory, or simply a little happiness!
When you’re not thinking about knives – what’s your other obsession?
Loving life with my family and capturing moments through photography along the way. :)
