What’s the one thing you never expected about the TOKO until you started carrying it?
I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but it’s an absolutely fantastic user. It deploys quickly with one hand, feels natural and familiar while cutting, and tucks right back into my pocket when I’m finished.
If you could gift a TOKO to anyone, living or historical, who would it be and why?
I’d give one to my father, because I know he’d love it, but I’m not giving him mine.
What’s the most sentimental piece of EDC gear you own, and why?
My V3 Carabiner was one of my first pieces of EDC when I got into this hobby/lifestyle and it’s the item I’ve handled and used the most. I’ve never considered replacing it and I’ve clipped it onto my belt loop daily for four years and counting. It also introduced me to the Cuprum ano which I’ve favored in Anso products ever since.
If you could swap EDC setups with anyone for a week, whose would you choose?
I would happily swap gear with my friend Nate @simplyorn8 He’s always carrying a tasteful mix of modern and traditional and complementing it with his own modifications and creations.
How do you organize or display your EDC gear when it’s not in use?
Some of my gear has a “home” on my desk or in a drawer, but I like to keep my EDC easily accessible, so it’s often on my desk wherever I left it or perhaps artfully arranged if I’ve been absentmindedly knolling while reading or working on a project.
Oh - I almost forgot...
Lately I’ve been reading a lot of John le Carré. If you’re looking for a good book—or maybe to go deeper into one of your favorite espionage movies or TV shows (you’re bound to have watched some of his stories without knowing it)—give one a try.
