The Story Behind the ANSØ Pen
After years of designing knives, tools, and gear, I wanted to create something different: a writing tool that carried the same DNA as my blades. Clean lines, honest materials, and purpose in every detail.
For years, my everyday pen was a $3 Pilot BP Matic. Nothing fancy, just reliable.
But I always wanted something that felt mine. And it made me wonder:
What would my version of the perfect pen feel like?
So, I started sketching, prototyping, and refining.
The result is The ANSØ Pen — my first-ever pen design. And it’s made in a perfect collab with Tactile Turn.
The Pen is machined in solid metal, slim in profile, and made for sketching, journaling, and everyday notes.
This project has been in the works for a long time, and I’ve shared the full process — from concept to machining — on my YouTube channel.
What Makes the ANSØ Pen Unique?
The ANSØ Pen combines precision machining, thoughtful ergonomics, and timeless materials in a tool you’ll reach for every day.
Refined balance: Slim 8 mm body feels natural in hand. Stable, yet light.
Grip that works: Knurled 40 mm section for control when sketching or writing.
Built to last: Machined from solid titanium or brass, with a precision-threaded cap.
Everyday ready: Ships with a smooth-writing Japanese OHTO PS-105NP refill (blue gel). Also compatible with Smith 900 G2 standard refill
Whether you’re sketching designs, journaling ideas, or just signing a note — this pen is made to be used.
Ansø Design
Like my knives, The ANSØ Pen is designed in Denmark. But this time my team and I didn’t make it here in Denmark. I teamed up with the skilled Texas-based Tactile Turn who have perfected the art of making high-quality, precision-machined pens and pencils feel just right. And I can’t think of a better match for my Pen.
Each piece reflects the same focus on precision, function, and craftsmanship that runs through all my work. It’s a simple tool, but it carries everything I’ve learned about balance, feel, and design.
